Caldwell County Smart Start has partnered with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. This is exciting news for all residents of Caldwell County. The importance of reading to young children cannot be emphasized enough. Research has shown that children who are exposed to books and are read to at a young age will be more successful in school. Every child in Caldwell County can have a book of her/his own, at no cost to you, thanks to this partnership. Each month a new book will be mailed in your child’s name directly to your home. Think how excited your child will be to receive her own mail! Your child will continue to receive a book until he/she turns five as long as you remain a resident of Caldwell County. All you need to do for your child to participate is complete a registration form. You may get a form from Northlakes Academy Child Development Center or the Caldwell County Smart Start office.
